Located in the heart of Vermont’s Precision Valley in the original Fellows factory, Gear Works, Inc. excels as a gear shaping resource. Springfield was the home of Fellows Gear Shaper Co. as well as Jones and Lamson and Bryant Chucking Grinder. These firms were established over 100 years ago and though they no longer exist here in Vermont, their legacy of design innovation and precision manufacturing lives on at Gear Works, Inc.

Incorporated in 1995, Gear Works, Inc. has grown to be a major supplier of shaped gear forms and service parts for gear shapers. We have the finest gear lab in northern New England. Our founder was trained by Fellows as a Service Engineer and has literally decades of experience designing and building gear machine tools, as well as fine tuning them to produce especially

tight-tolerance parts.

Requiring precision components of improved materials for our remanufactured shapers, we now offer these same parts direct to industry.  Most parts carry a lifetime warranty along with knowledgeable phone support. Gear Works has excellent in-house machining capabilities as well as reverse engineering experience. We routinely work with a network of high quality, reliable companies that expand the machining operations we can offer and that enables us to essentially produce any part required for a Fellows machine.
